The SARS-CoV-2 lineage B.1.1.7, now designated Variant of Concern 202012/01 (VOC) by Public Health England, originated in the UK in late Summer to early Autumn 2020.

On January 2, 2021, following Shanghai, the Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention found a SARS-CoV-2 Lineage B.1.1.7 in a throat swab sample from a confirmed case of COVID imported from the UK, which is the same as the recently reported mutant virus gene sequence in the UK.

In response to this situation, XABT Successfully Developed SARS-CoV-2 Lineage B.1.1.7 Detection Kit. We are further optimizing it to help our customers to differentiate between B.1.1.7 variants and other variants.

1.Multiple in one tube, full coverage of variants sites

The reagent selects the main sites in the S gene, detects the mutation site N501Y that causes enhanced affinity, and the deletion mutation site HV 69–70del that causes the virus to escape human immunity, which is suitable for qualitative detection of 2019-nCoV Highly infectious Lineage B.1.1.7.

2.Using ARMS technology,high sensitivity

The kit uses ARMS technology to achieve point mutation detection sensitivity, with a minimum detection limit of 1000 copies/mL. Effectively avoid missed detection of low-copy positive samples.

3.System optimization,simple operation

This reagent optimizes the entire system, with simple reagent components, greatly simplifying operations and saving detection time.

4.With endogenous internal standard

Endogenous internal standard-specific primers and probes for the detection of human clinical specimens are added to the reaction system to monitor the collection, transportation, and extraction process of the sample to be tested, prompting false negative results.
